The Story
Our first collection, titled Casa Pablo, bears the name of a place remembered – an island out in the sea of memory, half-real and half-imagined. Casa Pablo is an intimate memory made into a story, told in the language of scent. Marked by the intrinsic, felt rhythms that shape a day, each fragrance evokes a distinct moment of the day. So to time is memory, scent is to the soul.

At the heart of each scent is a personal story or memory brought to life through a careful sourcing of materials and precise formulations.
Fragrances created our way. Our approach to perfumery is guided by curiosity and collaboration, with careful consideration of our impact – on people, on the planet. Rooted in mid/night's philosophy of detailed and high-quality product design, we partnered with expert artisans, scientists, growers and producers to craft meaningful products with the greatest respect for nature. We infuse special care into every step of the creative process, from the stories and ideas at the heart of each scent to the conscious selection of every single component and ingredient, considering both its origin and impact.

Rooted in mid/night’s philosophy of detailed and high-quality product design, we partnered with expert artisans, scientists, growers and producers to craft intentional products with the greatest respect for nature and make our ideas come to life. So what does intentional perfumery mean to us? Our guiding principles to create original and meaningful fragrances include a communal approach encouraging each one involved to always follow our intuition, infusing each step with the joy and marvel of creativity.

Our fragrances are intentionally formulated according to a principle of bio-compatibility, with the health of people and the planet in mind. Each scent is 100% vegan and cruelty free, composed of at least 90% natural origin ingredients and 100% organic alcohol derived from fermented beetroot. We do not use toxic ingredients and focus on simple formulas that spotlight ethically sourced naturals traceable to our farming partners around the world, as well as safe, green bio-technology engineered ingredients.

Leading with the sensation of openness and possibility, we looked for notes that conveyed brightness without being overly fresh in a traditional sense. The ingredients we chose radiate a sort of subtle vibrancy that blooms confidently throughout the day.”

Born out of a vision for beauty that celebrates the union of nature, science and creativity, mid/night Parfums is an experiment in expression. Made with intuition and envisioned as an ode to the natural world, these creations aim to tell stories, which all together reveal the essence of mid/night which can’t be explained, told or seen. mid/night Parfums is a journey of interconnections - a collaboration of scientists, artisans, and dreamers 2 years in the making, it is an exploration of ideas, materials and sensibilities shaped with the mysterious language of scent. Fragrances are a different kind of object – one replete with mystery and charged with emotion. The creative journey of scent-making opened a door to new, more intimate ways to express our vision for beauty, echoing our belief that the most personal, when shared, can become the most poignant and universal.
The result is a collection of stories - olfactive landscapes and seascapes, dreamscapes and memoryscapes inspired by the worlds that inspire us, both inner and outer, real and imagined. From our memory to yours, developed with joy and intention.
To develop our fragrances we partnered with a historic, family-owned perfume house with deep roots in the surroundings of the iconic Grasse region in Southern France.
For over 150 years, our producers have been pioneers in the world of natural extractions and fragrance creation, as well as a world leader in green and ethical practices. With their profound knowledge of the craft of perfumery and wide network of sourcing partners around the world, we had access to the highest quality ingredients and cutting-edge fragrance technology.
We collaborated closely with perfumer Mathieu Nardin, a native of Grasse whose deep love and understanding of the vegetal world and distinctive creative voice fueled our crazy ideas from the very start.
his collective approach to creation lead us to a variety of playing fields. From the mystical island of Formentera that inspired our first collection to the fields of the Grasse region that we discovered alongside passionate and generational growers and producers, the incomparable beauty of the Mediterranean region imbued our labor of love, which was ultimately designed between OUR FORMULATION FRAGRANCE LAB in Paris, the world perfume capital, and our CREATIVE studio in Barcelona.
